ADMS 9 Release notes

4/2/2019   9.9.1

  1. Made changes to the sub-sampling routine that creates the data for the K Means routine.

4/2/2019   9.9.0.2

  1. Made changes to Re-projection code to fix issues with KMZ and Web Maps.

  2. Travis finished several issues with the new Zone Vectorize tool. I'm liking it.

4/1/2019   9.9.0.1

Made Quick Changes to get web maps going again after troubles with Web Maps and Zone Vectorize were reported.

4/1/2019   9.9.0.0

  1.  Fixed with Online Sentinel Extractor completely skipping over small tiles in it's search for possible tiles for a field.

  2. Fixed several issues with the Auto Zone Extract, that was having problems with Sentinel Data 16 bit per channel TIF's.
    The
Auto Zone Extractor was screwing up the source TFW files and leaving the TIF file set not usable.
For people with those unusable files, just deleting the TFW and reloading the TIF the map window will fix the problem. Not many noticed because not many non-consultant users try to prepare and extract Sentinel data.
But there was at least one. :-)

  3. Made more changes to improve re-projection of Surfaces.

  4. Increased the Timeout Value of LIDAR Extraction through Online Data.

  5. Created a New method of Exporting Contour Polygons of Zone maps.
This method is called under "Raster Tools- Zones
Vectorize" on a Right Click on a Surface.

2/26/2019   9.8.1.0

  1.   Fixed issues with the new Config Files that failed on a new install where the  old XML file did not exist.

  2. Made more changes to fix re-projection of surfaces using GDAL, introduced in the 9.8 release.

2/14/2019   9.8.0.0

1.     Fixed issue with re-projecting Surfer Grid Files.

2.     More changes to make re-projection of SHP files work better.

3.     Made changes to polygon clipping and extending lines.

4.     Fixed rare instance of SHP file merge.

5.     Changed settings file to be ADMS9Config, will help with those users that choose to use multiple versions of ADMS. Settings will no longer carry across between versions.

11/19/2018   9.6.6.2

1.     User reported TreeView in Merge Grid Results was behind the Grower-Farm-Field, performed a Bring to Front.

2.     User reported trouble installing because of missing DLL. Somehow the offending DLL had changed to be a pre-requisite instead of being included.

11/19/2018   9.6.6

1.     Added Splitter Bars to both Merge Grid and Merge Zone Windows, by user request. Added Settings to save the widths as they are set and save them to be re-applied when the window opens.

2.     Fixed errors in tile design caused by recent changes to property 'EditMode' in drawing object.

3.     Fixed error in GPS if the marking layer name is changed. Fixed handler not being reached in code after a layer name was changed.

4.     Fixed GPS marker getting stuck in the top left corner of the map if the marking layer was added and then removed.

5.     Fixed error in print template if the map was saved without any layers loaded.

6.     Fixed error in GeoJSON.Net DLL causing errors when loading points.

7.     Added methods to load GeoJSON feature collections.

8.     Added methods to load GeoJSON polygons and points.

9.     Added exception handler if saving csv file while it is in use.

10.Add changes to improve web map loading in the southern hemisphere.

11.Made changes to the SHP Utilities - Reprojection routine. Think it still needs better documentation.
If a SHP has a PRJ file, it should re-project properly with no user changes to Input or Output EPSG Codes.

10/30/2018 9.6.5

1.     We changed the Raster Extract routines trying to improve the Mod Area Tool. These same tools are used for clipping to field boundaries. By doing so we created the error in 9.6.4 below. Making a change to fix that was leaving a stripe along the left side of a clipped image in some cases. Hopefully this puts the house of cards back up again.

2.     Made a change to the Full Scene Import of the LIDAR Importers. Was encountering an index out of range error on certain LAS-LAZ files. Increased the Size 1 pixel in both the X-Y direction to better contain all of the data in a LAS-LAZ File.

3.     Made Changes to the Crop Null Area Routine, when expanding the raster when filling it would calculate the extents of the raster using a method that would result in incorrect resolutions being written to the Grid File.

10/28/2018 9.6.4

Found a problem with the “Rainbow Tool”. If the Mod Area drawn went off the left edge of the edge of the raster that was drawn it would cause an “Index Out of Range Exception”.

10/27/2018- 9.6.3

As much as I hated to do another release this week, it was necessary.

1.     With the new website we were having issues with competing the installation of GDAL for brand new users of version 9.0

2.     A test was left in place while enhancing the operation of the “Apply Mod to Selected Polys” or the Magic wand. The test was saving a mask bitmap to C:\GKData\MaskBitmap.bmp. If the C:\GKData folder did not exist, then a GDI Generic Error was thrown. Removed the save for the mask.

3.     Fixed an issue with Online Data extraction, that would leave the maps set at the wrong UTM Zone for Landsat and NAIP, and LIDAR, after setting it to a different zone for Sentinel data.

A commitment to Bring Back Release Notes

This used to be a ritual with ADMS Versions 2 -7, and we are going to bring it back.

After we added another programmer, it was a lot tougher for me to update this with the changes that have been made.
We, now, do have internal systems in place to track these changes, but we need to document major changes here.

Once you have a user account you can log in and see a lot more information.

Years ago, we could see in our web logs that our competitors were reading our site and downloading our software. That changed the way we posted things on our web site.  This page is visible to the outside world right now, but will be moved to a user- only web page soon.
